Room was picture perfect and to wake up to those mountain and vineyard views is amazing. There were only ourselves and another couple so it was really quiet. We were assisted by Kobus as we were a bit lost initially as it was dark and our GPS was not reliable! He suggested dinner at a nearby restaurant down the road and was divine. I loved waking up to the roosters and the resident doggy was super friendly! Breakfast was divine, and prepared by the local staff who were really sweet! I love the idea of the “open” kitchen that you can go prep something or heat something up. Wished we had more time to sit and relax on the deck and enjoy the lounge in the evening, but we were on a tight schedule. Perhaps next time! Really had a lovely stay and would highly recommend to other travellers.

What an amazing place to stay – a unique luxury wooden cabin nestled in between the Stellenbosch Vineyards and Mountains. It provides tranquillity and comfort, a King size bed, magnificent views…a perfect break away for alone time or a romantic get-away. It also offers hundreds of surrounding wine farms like Louisvale, and expert connoisseurs like Mogammat share their knowledge on the process of making prize-winning export wines.

We were blown away by the Log Cabin. It was the perfect end to our holiday in Cape Town. The setting of the Log Cabin was perfect and peaceful, located on the Louisvale wine farm, overlooking Winelands and a pond in front of our room. It will also be a perfect place to book out for a couple of friends, with their swimming pool, a deck and braai area. We will definitely be back!

OUR ROOMS

THE PALLET

For holiday tourists, travel enthusiasts and people who like to leave their mark in the world, The Pallet Room speaks secrets of a vast world with a multitude of experience.

The entire room is constructed from recycled pallets that have transported goods across towns and cities—even across countries and continents. These rustic boards welcome visitors on a self-catered retreat in the Western Cape.

These sturdy boards will support you as you rest on the custom-made furniture and take in the earthy smell permeating the air after a day filled with adventure. Each board spends the night telling stories of their travels from their youth: how it got that chip, what forest it grew up in, what the knot decorating its surface means to it… No two boards are the same and neither are the visitors that stay here.

THE BARREL

Upon entering The Barrel Room, the senses will be captivated by the warm and welcoming aroma of retired French oak wine barrels, with the history of wine in our valley embedded into the walls.

Your tingling senses grow curious as to what these barrels have seen, and of course, with what they have blessed those who experienced their harvest.

All the barrels used are local, sourced from various wine farms. Each with a history of its own, unknown to many of us, but nonetheless with a story filled with laughter, good times with family and friends and the bringing together of people for a great experience with great wine.

THE CORK

Our Cork Room contributes to a very import aspect of our room selection, thus we decided to “put a cork in it”. As all our rooms do, the cork room features its own ensuite bathroom, kitchenette, super king sized bed and views of the countryside through your bedroom window.

THE DIFFERENCE

This room is exactly according to its name. It’s Different than our other rooms, yet it’s the same. The Difference is decorated with solid wood furniture, located and sourced locally, handcrafted by a carpenter in Paarl region, and carefully selected to underline the basic, yet the very classic origin of the wine lands décor.

The wood was carefully chosen to enhance the ambience of the current theme of The Log Cabin. The majority of the wood chosen was Blackwood, with a history of hundreds of years, gathered on the outskirts of the Western Cape. Each piece of the solid wooden furniture was handcrafted over weeks to keep the natural look.

THE COTTAGE

The Cottage is a cozy little getaway ideal for a family looking for a base close to Stellenbosch, without having to sacrifice the peace and quiet of the winelands.
